Patrick O'Brian, Author

This photograph is from the archives.  I took this in a bookstore in the North End of Boston.  Patrick O'Brian was signing books for patrons.  It was on a weekend, and we had a sliver of sunshine coming in.  I was there to get a shot for Entertainment Weekly.  In the end, I had just a few minutes, which turned into 12 frames of color, and 12 frames of black and white (yes, this was back in the days of film). I think  Mr. O'Brian would have let me take more photos, but his publicist ended the session.
The result has appeared not only in Entertainment Weekly (way back when), but on numerous book jackets and publications.
