when does baseball end?

In Boston we are well aware that the Sox have tied the World Series with last nights 4-2 loss to the Cardinals in game 2.  The series will carry on if needed until Halloween night, and then Boston fans will take a few months off before Spring training begins.
Little League fall ball is winding down too with excitement as teams battle it out on the field.  Games under the lights, extra innings and nail biting endings(and cold spectators).
There is no off season for these guys.  The bats will keep swinging all winter.
